Government Order for Part-time (PTT) & Whole-time (CWTT) Lecturers (College & University), West Bengal -(Monthly Remuneration)

Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal, Bikash Bhaban, Salt-lake, finally published a relief order (ED-258/2013) for WBPTTs and WBCWTTTs. In accordance to G.O. No. 360 Edn(CS)/10M-45/2013 dated 10.4.2013, it is being notified that the state aided non govt. colleges of W.B. are to submit monthly bills of remuneration of CWTTs & PTTs to the Pay Packet Section of the Education Directorate along with the bills of regular teaching and non teaching employees of Colleges w.e.f. 1.4.2013 onwards.

This Government Order will be very much helpful for existing PTTs & CWTTs .Because maximum PTTs & CWTTs ( who are really the main part of WB College & Universities Education) currently doing their works almost without pay. ( payment made after 6 months)

Higher Education (College & Universities) in West Bengal very much dependent on Part time lecturers. West Bengal government never takes any positive actions for such PTTs. There has big difference of Pay-Scale between Full time lecturer and part-time lecturer. But many colleges of West Bengal totally depends on Part-time teachers for conduct examination duties, regular classes, etc. .But see the Bias-ness of government , PTTs are not member of Government Body , have not any voting power in teacher’s council, not a member of any committees, and many more. Really all are very in-human situations.
