Syllabus of TET & Marks Distribution of WB Primary Teachers Recruitment,2013
West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) going to recruit thousands primary teachers through Common Teachers Eligibility Test (TET)-2013( Venue details of TET given below). The TET shall be held as per guidelines issued from time to time by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and a person who score 60% or above in the TET examination shall be considered as TET pass provided relaxation upto 5% marks shall be allowed to the reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH/EC). Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) will be conducted by the Board on a single day throughout the state of West Bengal.
WBBPE TET 2013 Primary Teacher Examination Final Result
Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) examination shall be held in 100 marks consisting of the following 5 sections.
Section-I – Child Development – 20 Marks
Section-II – Language-I – 20 Marks
Section-III- Language-II – 20 Marks
Section-IV- Mathematics – 20 Marks
Section-V – Environmental Science– 20 Marks
( Important Note:-
1. All questions shall be of multiple choice types with four alternatives out of which one option will be correct. All questions shall be carry one (1) mark each. There has no negative marks
2. First Language of the candidate shall be determined as per medium of instruction of the primary school for which the vacancy occurred and second language be English )
Overall Marks Distribution of Primary Recruitment-2013:-
1. Madhyamik pass under the WBBSE or its equivalent- 10
2. Higher Secondary pass under WBCHSE or its equivalent- 10
3. Teachers Training (B.EI. ED) – 20
4. Teachers Eligibility Test (TET)- 40
5. Extra Curricular Activities – 05
6. Vice-Voce or Interview — 10

Important Note regarding Marks Distribution:
1. The percentage of marks to the total full marks obtained by the candidate in the Madhyamik examination or its equivalent excluding additional marks, if any , shall be computed as percentage of 10
2.The percentage of marks to the total full marks obtained by the candidate in the H.S examination or its equivalent excluding additional marks, if any , shall be computed as percentage of 15
3. 70% and above marks obtained by the candidate in Training shall be awarded 20. 50% above but below 70% marks obtained by the candidates in training shall be awarded 17 and below 50% marks put passed in the Training shall be awarded 15
4.The percentage of marks to the full marks obtained by the teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualified candidate in TET, shall be computed as percentage of 40
5. Maximum five(5) marks shall be awarded to the candidates in the extra Curriculum Activities of the following chart basis ———
I. Games and sports —– 1
II. NCC (‘A’ certifiacte) — 1
III. Arts & Literture – 1
IV. Performing Arts(Drama)– 1
V. Music – 1
