Panchayat and Rural Development Section, Office of the District Magistrate, Hooghly , West Bengal invites applications on prescribed form for the post of “Block Informatics Officer”, “Clerk-cum-Typist” and “Peon” in different Panchayat Samitis of the Hoogly district.

Total Vacancies :- 25 Nos

1. Block Informatics Officer: 3 Nos. (Gen-PWD—1; ST—1; OBC-B—1)
Qualification: B.Tech (IT) or B.Sc (IT) from recognised University
Pay scale: Rs.7100—Rs.37600 and Grade pay—Rs.3900 plus other allowances.

2. Clerk-cum-Typist: 18 Nos. (Gen—6; Gen-PWD—1; Gen-EC—4; SC—4; SC-EC—1; ST—1; OBC-B—1)
Qualification: Madhyamik pass or equivalent with minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in English and 20 words per minute in Bengali
Provided that the selected candidates shall have to acquire proficiency in MS Word or such other word processing application before confirmation in service
Pay scale: Rs. 5400 — Rs.25200 and Grade pay — Rs.2600 and other allowances.

3. Peon: 4 Nos. (Gen—1; SC—1; ST—1; Ex-Serviceman-General—1)
Qualification: Must have knowledge of reading and writing in Bengali
Pay scale: Rs.4900 — Rs.16200 and Grade pay—Rs.1700 plus other allowances.

Age limit: within 18yrs to 40yrs as on 01/01/2012. The upper age relaxation is 3yrs for OBC and 5yrs for SC/ST candidates. For others—as per norms.

Note:

This recruitment notification is actually the medication of the earlier notification which was released on 2009, Employment Notice No. 939/P&RD/1/2009 Dated, Chinsurah the 9th July, 2009. Therefore the candidates who have applied earlier on basis advt.no. 939/P&RD/1/2009, do not need to apply again.

How to Apply: Application is to be made on prescribed application format. Filled application must be submitted with – (i) 2 Nos. passport size photographs (one pasted on form and other as enclosure duly signed by her/him in the backside and duly attested at the front face), (ii) One self-addressed envelopes (25X10 cm) affixed with postage stamps of Rs.5/-

The top of the envelope should be superscribed – “Application in response to Advertisement/Notice No. 1218/P&RD dated 11/07/2012 for the post of _____”
